DSS Releases Wrongfully Detained Man in Yobe State

The Department of State Services (DSS) released Mr. Ya'u Moham, a young man from Gashua Town in Bade Local Government Area of Yobe State, who had been wrongfully detained.

This development was disclosed by Brigadier General Dahiru Abdulsalam (rtd), the Special Adviser on Security Matters to the Yobe State Governor, during a visit to the DSS Yobe State Command headquarters in Damaturu. General Abdulsalam explained that the visit aimed to ascertain the circumstances surrounding Mr.

Moham's detention. Following a review, the DSS confirmed that Mr.

Moham was not involved in any alleged offenses that led to his earlier detention. The release was described as an unprecedented gesture in public service, with the DSS providing financial support of N2 million to aid Mr.

Moham's reintegration into society. General Abdulsalam urged security agencies to continue upholding the rule of law and respecting fundamental human rights to strengthen public trust.
