MultiChoice Launches Affordable DStv Premium Plan in South Africa

MultiChoice has introduced a new DStv Premium subscription plan in South Africa, offering a monthly fee of R799 for customers who sign a two-year contract. This price is significantly lower than the standard R979 month-to-month decoder subscription, representing a reduction of R180, or approximately 18%.

Over two years, this could save customers R4,320 if the standard price remains unchanged. The R799 plan includes the Access Fee, which supports features like recording and viewing through additional linked decoders.

However, this offer is specific to South Africa, and there has been no announcement regarding a similar reduction for Nigerian subscribers. Existing customers in South Africa can access the offer through the MyDStv app or the DStv website, while new customers are directed to the South African call centre.

MultiChoice indicated that this restructuring is part of efforts to simplify pricing across its services, with the changes taking effect on September 17.
