DStv Unveils New Packages and Prices in South Africa

DStv has introduced a major overhaul of its product structure in South Africa, marking the most significant change in 15 years, set to take effect on September 17, 2026. The new pricing structure includes a Starter package at R99 for streaming and R150 for decoder viewing, offering 85 channels with one Premier League match weekly.

The Select package will cost R299 for streaming and R339 for decoder access, featuring 100 channels, including SuperSport’s PSL content. A new Sports package, previously DStv Compact, will be available for R399 streaming and R479 via decoder, offering 115 channels with Premier League, UEFA, cricket, and UFC content.

The Movies & Series package will be priced at R500. The Premium package remains at R799 for streaming and R979 for decoder customers.

While these changes currently apply only to South Africa, they may impact Nigerian DStv customers who are closely monitoring pricing and package structures, particularly regarding sports content.
