Dubai Firm Invests $3m in Bayelsa Solar Power Projects

Jampur Group, a Dubai-based firm, has invested $3 million in solar power and smart meter projects in Bayelsa State. The company signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the state government to establish a renewable energy production plant, aiming to boost solar power and smart metering capabilities in the region.

Governor Douye Diri expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, emphasizing the positive impact it will have on Bayelsa, the Niger Delta, and Nigeria as a whole. The investment is expected to enhance energy access, reduce reliance on traditional power sources, and create opportunities for local youth in the power sector.
