Governor Namadi Launches 10MW Solar Mini-Grid in Jigawa State for Enhanced Development

Governor Malam Umar Namadi inaugurated a 10MW solar mini-grid in Kafin Hausa, Jigawa State, to enhance social and economic development. The project, a collaboration between Bagaja Renewables Power Plant and KEDCO Future Energies Africa, aims to improve power supply in the state.

The 500kWp power plant in Kafin Hausa is equipped with a 33kV distribution line and transformer. Governor Namadi highlighted plans for more power projects in Hadejia, Gumel, Kazaure, Ringim, and Dutse.

The partnership with KEDCO includes setting up a 100MW plant. This initiative signifies a milestone in improving the socio-economic well-being of Jigawa State residents.
