Bugaje Accuses Nigerian Senate of Plotting Electoral Manipulation

Bugaje, an Islamic scholar and political activist, accused the Nigerian Senate of scheming to manipulate elections by hindering the compulsory electronic transmission of election results. He criticized arguments against real-time electronic transmission, stating that the country has the capacity for it.

Bugaje questioned the Senate's motives, pointing out that INEC has indicated readiness for electronic transmission. He argued that resistance to real-time transmission raises suspicions of weakening the electoral system.
