ACF Urges Action on Rising Insecurity During Easter

The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), represented by Prof. Muhammad Baba, has raised urgent concerns about the escalating insecurity in Northern Nigeria, particularly during the Easter season, which commemorates the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The forum highlighted the worsening trend of insecurity and criminal activities that have led to repeated attacks, loss of lives, and destruction of property, resulting in widespread displacement and fractured communities. The ACF described the situation as deeply troubling, especially during a period meant for reflection and hope.

They called for urgent and decisive intervention from security agencies to dismantle terrorist networks and end the cycle of violence. Despite the grim realities, the ACF commended the resilience of Nigerians in celebrating Easter and emphasized the need for concrete steps beyond prayer to address the security crisis.

They urged citizens to remain peaceful and law-abiding while expressing optimism for Nigeria's future.
