Oyo Police Ensure Peaceful Easter Celebrations Statewide

The Oyo State Police Command, led by the Public Relations Officer, DSP Olayinka Ayanlade, has declared its determination to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free Easter celebration across the state. In a statement released on Friday, the command emphasized its commitment to maximum security coverage at worship centers, recreational facilities, major highways, and public spaces throughout the Easter festivities.

The police have put in place a comprehensive strategy that includes intelligence-led security deployments to maintain peace during the celebrations. This initiative aligns with the proactive measures directed by the Inspector General of Police, aimed at strengthening public safety and boosting citizen confidence.

Additionally, the Commissioner of Police for Oyo State, CP Abimbola Ayodeji Olugbenga, extended warm Easter greetings to the Christian community and encouraged citizens to embrace the teachings of Jesus Christ, promoting love, sacrifice, humility, and peaceful coexistence.
