Oyo Police Ensure Security for Eid el-Fitri Celebrations

The Oyo State Police Command, under the leadership of Commissioner of Police Femi Haruna, has committed to ensuring a hitch-free Eid el-Fitri celebration across the state. In a statement released on Thursday, CP Haruna emphasized the importance of security during this joyous occasion, following the completion of Ramadan.

The police will deploy personnel strategically, enhance visibility through intensified patrols, and maintain a strong presence at Eid prayer grounds, recreational centers, major highways, and public places. Additionally, area command divisions and tactical units have been directed to supervise operations closely.

CP Haruna urged residents to remain law-abiding and vigilant, encouraging them to report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station or security post. He extended warm wishes to the Muslim community for a peaceful and joyful Eid el-Fitri celebration, highlighting the values of prayer, sacrifice, peace, tolerance, and unity during this season.
