Oyo Police Ensure Peaceful Easter Celebration Plans

The Oyo State Police Command, represented by Public Relations Officer DSP Olayinka Ayanlad, has declared its determination to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free Easter celebration across the state. In a statement, the command congratulated the Christian community on the occasion of Easter and outlined plans for maximum security coverage at worship centers, recreational facilities, major highways, and public spaces during the celebrations.

The police have put in place a comprehensive intelligence-led security deployment strategy aimed at maintaining peace and enhancing public safety, in line with the directives of the Inspector General of Police. CP Abimbola Ayodeji Olugbenga extended warm wishes to the Christian community and urged citizens to embrace the teachings of Jesus Christ, focusing on love, sacrifice, humility, and peaceful coexistence.

The command reassured residents of its unwavering commitment to protecting lives and property during the celebrations and called for cooperation from the public, particularly in reporting suspicious activities to the nearest police station.
