Osun Police Enhance Security for Easter Celebrations

The Osun State Police Command has issued a statement assuring residents of enhanced security measures in preparation for the Easter celebrations. The statement, released on Thursday and signed by DSP Abiodun Ojelabi, highlighted the importance of the Easter season as a time for reflection and sacrifice.

The police command has implemented robust security arrangements to protect lives and property during the festive period. This includes the strategic deployment of personnel to churches, recreational facilities, and major highways, as well as public spaces to prevent any breaches of peace and ensure smooth and safe celebrations.

The state Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Gotan, has directed area commands and divisions to intensify patrols and maintain a visible police presence. The command has urged the public to remain vigilant, cooperate with security agencies, and report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station.

Parents and guardians are also advised to supervise their wards closely to discourage unlawful conduct.
