Oyo Police Enhance Security for Easter Celebrations

The Oyo State Police Command has announced the deployment of comprehensive security measures across the state in preparation for the Easter celebrations, aiming to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free festival. This announcement was made in a statement issued on Friday by the police public relations officer, DSP Ayanlad Olayinka.

The measures align with the vision of the Inspector General of Police to strengthen public safety and boost citizen confidence. The Commissioner of Police, CP Abimbola Olugbenga, extended warm congratulations to the Christian community on the occasion of Easter and urged citizens to embrace the teachings of Jesus Christ, focusing on love, sacrifice, humility, and peaceful coexistence.

The statement emphasized the importance of public cooperation and encouraged residents to report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station or through emergency channels. The command reassured residents of its unwavering commitment to protecting lives and property during the celebrations.
