Nigeria Police Enhance Security for Easter Celebrations

In preparation for the Easter celebrations, the Nigeria Police Force has intensified security operations across the country by deploying personnel to churches, recreational centers, highways, and public spaces. This initiative was directed by Inspector General of Police Olutunji Rilwan Disu, aiming to prevent criminal activities and safeguard lives and property during the festive period.

The River State Police Command has mobilized tactical teams and assured residents of adequate security arrangements, with Commissioner of Police Olugbenga Adepoju urging vigilance and cooperation with security agencies. Similarly, the Cross River State Police Command has implemented intelligence-led operations and patrols to maintain peace.

Oyo State Police Command announced extended security measures targeting critical infrastructure and public gathering points. Kwara State Police Command conducted joint operations with multiple security agencies to deter criminal elements, emphasizing a proactive strategy to ensure safety beyond the Easter period.
