NSCDC Enhances Security for Easter Celebrations Nationwide

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) is intensifying security efforts nationwide in preparation for the Easter celebrations. A total of 57,000 officers will be mobilized to fortify national security and guarantee peace during the holiday period.

The strategic deployment will cover all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), incorporating special tactical units and intelligence operations. Proactive measures are being implemented to address potential security threats and protect critical national assets, infrastructure, high-traffic areas, churches, shopping complexes, and recreational centers.

The NSCDC will maintain strict surveillance through visible patrols and undercover agents, with zonal and state command oversight. Prof.

Ahm Abubakar Audi, the Commandant General, emphasized the importance of vigilance and coordination among security agencies. He urged parents and guardians to guide children to avoid activities that could disrupt public peace.

The NSCDC's elite divisions, including the special intelligence squad and special female squad, are on maximum alert to respond decisively against any threats to national stability.
