Rivers Police Enhance Security for Easter Celebrations

In preparation for the Easter celebrations, the Rivers State Police Command has deployed personnel to various locations, including churches, recreational centers, and major highways identified as vulnerable points. Chief Superintendent Grace Iring Koko disclosed this information in a statement issued on Saturday in Port Harcourt.

The Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga Adepoju, assured residents and visitors of the command's commitment to protecting lives and property. He urged the public to remain vigilant, conduct themselves lawfully, and cooperate with security agencies by providing timely and credible information.

The police have implemented robust security measures to ensure a peaceful and safe Easter celebration across the state, including strategic deployments and the mobilization of tactical teams to forestall criminal activities and ensure prompt responses to any security threats.
