Ebonyi State Government Denies Hiring Auxiliary Nurses, Plans Recruitment of Community Health Workers

Ebonyi State Government has denied the recruitment of auxiliary nurses, clarifying that the information circulating is false and misleading. Commissioner of Health, Moses Ekuma, emphasized the need for accurate reporting and stated that the Ministry plans to recruit Community Based Health Workers, Senior Community Health Extension Workers, Junior Community Health Extension Workers, and Assistant Community Based Health Workers.

These healthcare workers will serve as skilled birth attendants in primary health care centers at the ward level, ensuring easy access to healthcare facilities in rural areas. The recruitment aims to enhance maternal and child healthcare services in the state.
