Ecobank and AFC to Host 234 Art Fair in Lagos 2026

Ecobank Nigeria and the African Finance Corporation (AFC) are set to host the 234 Art Fair from March 5-8, 2026, at the Ecobank Pan African Centre (EPAC) in Victoria Island, Lagos. This initiative emphasizes inclusivity and aims to expand access for emerging artists, providing a prominent platform for young Nigerian talent.

The fair, named after Nigeria's international dialing code 234, seeks to project Nigerian creativity onto the global stage. The event will feature a diverse range of artworks, including paintings, sculptures, photography, and digital art, and will offer free entry to visitors.

Programming will include panel discussions, masterclasses, workshops, and live art installations. Bolaji Lawal, Managing Director of Ecobank Nigeria, highlighted the bank's commitment to supporting the creative sector as part of its broader pan-African mandate.

Tola Akerel, founder of Soto Gallery, described the fair as a movement to amplify Nigerian voices and connect artists with wider markets. AFC's CEO, Samaila Zubairu, noted the corporation's ongoing partnership to unlock commercial value within Africa's creative industries.
