+234 Art Fair Showcases Nigerian Artists in Lagos

The +234 Art Fair took place at the Ecobank Pan African Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos, featuring over 500 emerging Nigerian artists across diverse mediums including painting, sculpture, installation, photography, and digital media. The third edition of the fair opened on March 5 and concluded today, March 8.

Eyimof Ideh, the lead director, alongside Faith Esen, played significant roles in curating the event, which aimed to create a vibrant atmosphere for art enthusiasts. Tola Akerel, the CEO of the National Theatre and founder of the 234 Art Fair, highlighted the fair's focus on inclusivity and expanding participation in the art community.

The event included a digital pavilion curated by Jojo Dopamu and Ima Ekpo, showcasing innovative media. Joanna Oyefeso managed logistics to ensure smooth operations throughout the fair, which aimed to broaden the reach and impact of the Nigerian art scene.
