ECWA Confirms Abduction of Pastor in Plateau State

The Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) confirmed the abduction of Rev. Sundai Bobai Agang, a retired pastor, in Plateau State.

The incident occurred early on Tuesday when six gunmen invaded his residence in the Farin Gada community, Jo North Local Government Area, around 5:00 AM. The assailants took the pastor at gunpoint, leaving his family held hostage.

A source close to the family indicated that the family raised an alarm after the pastor was taken away. The church's spokesman, Dickson Auta, stated that a public statement regarding the incident would be released soon.

ECWA has lamented the frequent attacks on its pastors and congregants, noting a previous incident in Kwara State where armed bandits attacked a church service, resulting in injuries and abductions. The church has urged the public to remain calm and engage in fervent prayers as they monitor the situation.
