Gunmen Kidnap Worshippers at ECWA Church in Kwara

On a Sunday service, gunmen stormed the ECWA Church located in Omugo, Ifelodun Local Government Area, Kwara State, abducting eight worshippers. During the chaos, three individuals managed to escape from their captors, leaving five still in the hands of the assailants.

Bolanle Olukoju, the Kwara State Commissioner for Communication, condemned the attack, labeling it a cowardly act targeting a religious place. He called on security forces and local vigilantes to collaborate in apprehending the bandits responsible for this incident.

The state government also issued a statement urging security forces and local community members to work together to combat the menace of kidnapping and ensure the safety of citizens.
