Edo APC Celebrates Local Poll Victory, Backs Tinubu for 2027

The Edo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), led by Chairman Jarrett Teneb, praised the outcome of the recent local government elections, stating that the party secured 2,158,600 votes. Teneb announced the party's commitment to delivering 2.5 million votes for Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

He commended the conduct of the local government elections, which saw participation from 11 opposition parties, contrasting it with previous administrations. Despite allegations of intimidation and an uneven playing field from the opposition, Teneb asserted that the APC's victories were a result of hard work and grassroots mobilization.

Newly elected chairmen and councillors received their certificates from the Edo State Independent Electoral Commission. The APC extended an invitation for unity and collaboration to the people of Edo State, emphasizing the need to develop the state collectively.
