Edo Governor Okpebholo Vows Justice in Kidnapping Case

Following a kidnapping incident involving a woman at a vegetable market in Benin, Edo State Governor Okpebholo has committed to bringing the perpetrators to justice. The Edo State Police Command has begun an immediate investigation as directed by the governor.

Patrick Ebojel, the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, disclosed this during a radio program on Wednesday. He emphasized the urgency of the situation and assured that security agencies are working tirelessly to apprehend those responsible.

Ebojel also cautioned social media users against sensationalizing security-related incidents, as exaggerated reports can create unnecessary panic. He acknowledged the ongoing security challenges in Nigeria and highlighted the governor's significant investments in security personnel, equipment, and intelligence gathering.

Ebojel urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to support ongoing security efforts. Additionally, he mentioned plans to recruit local forest guards to enhance security in rural areas.
