Edo State Government Directs Local Government Heads to Compulsory Leave for Governance Reform

The Edo State government has mandated the heads of local government administrations to go on compulsory leave to improve grassroots governance. This decision, announced by Alhaji Kabiru Adjoto, Chairman of the Edo State Local Government Service Commission, aligns with Governor Mondai Okpebholo's agenda for a more accountable and efficient local government system.

The move aims to strengthen administrative structures, promote transparency, and restore confidence in local governance. The Commission has also begun digitizing operations and intensifying staff training to enhance service delivery.
