Orogho Community Backs Leadership Amid Allegations

The Orogho community has reaffirmed its confidence in its current leadership, stating that it has ushered in a new phase of development and transformation. This statement was issued by the Orogho Community Concerned Indigenes in response to allegations made by Mr. Stanley Eghaghe about the leadership and management of community benefits from local companies.

The group, which includes elders, youths, and indigenes both at home and in the diaspora, expressed satisfaction with the leadership and its initiatives. The statement, signed by Mr. Nosa Osayande, the Okaghele (Youth Leader) of Orogho community, acknowledged ongoing challenges such as the need for better infrastructure, employment, healthcare, and improved roads, but emphasized that these issues do not reflect a failure of leadership.

The indigenes challenged Eghaghe to provide concrete evidence for his allegations of financial wrongdoing and questioned his authority to represent the community, asserting that he is not a descendant of Orogho but from Owuo.
