Edo PDP Celebrates Appeal Court Ruling on Anyanwu Suspension

The Edo State chapter of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) expressed its approval of the Appeal Court's ruling that affirmed the suspension of Samuel Anyanwu and others. This judgment, delivered by a three-member panel led by Justice Uchechukwu Onyemenam, was seen as a significant victory for the party's supremacy and adherence to its constitutional framework.

Dan Osa Ogbegi, the public secretary, described the ruling as a major victory for the party's discipline and rule of law. The court dismissed an appeal filed by a faction led by former Minister of Special Duties Kabiru Turaki, which challenged the jurisdiction of the Federal High Court to hear the case.

The Appeal Court's decision sent a clear message that no individual, regardless of their status within the party, is above the party's constitutional regulations. The Edo PDP urged its members to remain united and committed to rebuilding and strengthening the party for future political engagements.
