Edo Speaker Agbebaku Apologizes Over Re-Election Bid

Bless Agbebaku, the Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, issued an apology to his constituency concerning his bid for re-election. This occurred during a meeting held at the residence of Lucki Ohimai, a prominent APC leader in Owan West.

Agbebaku acknowledged past misunderstandings and expressed a commitment to work harmoniously within the party, emphasizing the need for unity. Despite his appeal for support for a third term, assembly members unanimously rejected his request, insisting that he should join the queue with other aspirants.

They highlighted that Agbebaku is not the only qualified candidate for the position, referencing the need for fairness in the selection process. The meeting included notable APC figures such as Frank Ilaboya and Barr.
