Kwara's Edu LGA Imposes Curfew After Terror Attack

The chairman of Edu Local Government Area in Kwara State, Alhaji Abdullahi Bello, announced the imposition of a curfew in Gbugbu town effective immediately. This decision follows a terrorist attack on the town last Sunday, which resulted in the deaths of two people, including a businessman and a young girl.

The curfew will restrict all vehicular and pedestrian movement in the community from 4 PM to 6 AM daily until further notice. This measure was decided during an emergency security meeting held by the local government council.

The statement issued by the council emphasized the need to intensify enforcement of the curfew to facilitate routine security operations within the community. Alhaji Bello urged residents to conduct their daily activities outside the curfew hours and to cooperate with security agencies during this period.
