Kwara LGAs Impose 24-Hour Curfew to Enhance Security Operations

In response to insecurity challenges, the Edu Local Government Area and Ifelodun Local Government Area in Kwara State have implemented a 24-hour curfew. Hon.

Abdullahi Bello, the Chairman of Edu LGA, announced the curfew in Gbugbu community to support ongoing security clearance operations. Similarly, Hadji Femi Yusuf, Chairman of Ifelodun LGA, restricted movement in Oro Ago district.

Polic Adekimi Ojo emphasized that the curfew would aid in preventing criminal elements from escaping and gathering information to combat banditry. The curfew aims to track and apprehend criminals attempting to flee, with a focus on restoring peace and reinforcing security clearance efforts in troubled areas.
