Blessing CEO Faces ₦69m Fraud Charges in Ikeja Court

Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday in Ikeja over allegations of defrauding a health company of ₦69.15 million. The EFCC claims that Okoro falsely represented herself as the owner of a property in Lekki, which she leased for five years, and obtained money under false pretenses.
She pleaded not guilty to the charges. The EFCC stated that the victim, Hope Chiropract Health Clinic, paid the sum in March 2025 based on her claims regarding the property on Tunbosun Osobu Street, Lekki.
During the proceedings, her defense counsel raised issues regarding the recent charges, but the judge ruled that the trial would proceed. The prosecution requested that she remain in EFCC custody until her next appearance at the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, where a separate case is scheduled.
The judge granted her bail of ₦10 million, requiring two sureties, including family members, to submit proof of employment, BVN, NIN, valid phone numbers, international passports, and tax clearance for the last two years.
