Bless CEO Arraigned for Alleged N36 Million Fraud

Blessing Nkiruka Okoro, also known as Bless CEO, was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) at the Federal High Court in Lagos on Friday. She faces two counts of fraud, specifically for allegedly obtaining N36 million under false pretenses related to the security lease of a six-bedroom detached duplex.

During the proceedings, her defense counsel, P. Nwafor, informed the court that the defendant had refunded N24 million and requested a short adjournment to facilitate the settlement of the outstanding balance.

However, prosecuting counsel S. Suleiman urged the court to proceed with the arraignment.

Justice D. Dipeolu presided over the case, stating that discussions regarding the defendant's complaint would not halt the court's proceedings.

Okoro pleaded not guilty to the charges, and the prosecution sought a trial date. The court granted a request for her remand in EFCC custody pending the perfection of her bail application and adjourned the matter until June 5, 2026.
