EFCC Probes Ex-Hospital Director Over ₦43m Contract Scam

The EFCC is investigating Dr. Philip Ugbodaga, a former medical director of Nation Orthopaedic Hospital in Benin, for an alleged ₦43 million furniture contract scam involving an Abuja-based company.

Ugbodaga is accused of awarding the contract without justification, suspending salaries of aggrieved workers, and running a private institute against public service rules. The EFCC is probing the financial transactions and employment practices at the hospital under Ugbodaga's tenure.
