EFCC Transfers ₦3.9bn Recovered Funds to NNPCL

On March 18, 2026, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) presented ₦3,936,145,822 in recovered funds to the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) during a ceremony held at the EFCC headquarters in Abuja. The handover was made on behalf of the EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, by the Secretary of the Commission, Moham Hammajoda.

The recovery of these funds was a result of detailed investigations into fraudulent activities involving actors within the national oil company. During the ceremony, NNPCL's Executive Vice President of Downstream, Mumuni Dagazau, expressed gratitude to the anti-graft agency for its role in the recovery process.

The EFCC reiterated its commitment to tackling economic and financial crimes across the country.
