EFCC Confirms Immigration CG Kemi Nandap Not Under Probe

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has stated that Kemi Nandap, the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, is not under investigation concerning allegations of involvement in a visa racket. EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale made this clarification on Monday night, addressing media reports that suggested Nandap was implicated in economic and financial crimes.

While acknowledging that there is an existing case of alleged visa fraud against certain immigration officers, the EFCC emphasized that Nandap is not connected to this investigation. The EFCC disclosed that further investigations are ongoing, and there is a possibility that some immigration officers may be arraigned for alleged fraudulent practices in the near future.

The agency urged the media to seek clarification on its activities to avoid misrepresentation of facts.
