EFCC Returns N3.9bn to NNPC from Fraud Recovery

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) returned a total of N3,936,145,822, which was recovered from fraudulent activities, to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). This transaction was conducted on behalf of the EFCC Chairman, Mohammed Hammanjoda.

During the presentation, Hammanjoda highlighted the EFCC's commitment to combating corruption, stating that the agency will continue to work diligently to serve the Nigerian populace. He noted that the recovered funds were a result of thorough investigations into fraudulent activities involving actors within NNPC.

Mumuni Dagazau, the Executive Vice President of NNPC, expressed appreciation for the EFCC's assistance in recovering the funds, acknowledging the challenges faced by NNPC and the importance of correcting systemic issues. He conveyed optimism about future collaborations with the EFCC to ensure accountability and integrity within the organization.
