Obasanjo’s Library Was Not Our Target – EFCC Opens Up On Sting Operation

The EFCC has clarified that Olusegun Obasanjo's library was not the target of their recent sting operation, despite the arrest of guests at a guest house within the library's facility. The OOPL management had condemned the night operation, calling it a calculated attack, and demanded compensation and a public apology.

However, the EFCC spokesperson stated that the arrest took place at a hotel within the library's precinct following intelligence reports of illicit activities. The suspects were reportedly holding a pool party to celebrate their alleged crimes.

The EFCC revealed that the suspects were involved in offenses such as impersonation, identity theft, and internet fraud. The remaining suspects will be arraigned soon, following the initial operation.
