Police Efforts Underway to Rescue 28 Abducted Travelers in Plateau State

In Plateau State, 28 travelers, including men, women, teenagers, and children, were abducted while attending a Maulud Nabbii celebration in Sabon Layi village. The victims were kidnapped on Tuesday, with the kidnappers demanding a ransom of N1.5 million per victim.

Efforts are underway by the police, with Muham Hamisu, the local government chairman, deploying soldiers to locate the victims. The Plateau State Police Command is actively working to rescue the victims and apprehend the perpetrators, led by spokesperson SP Alabo Alfr and CP Emmanuel Olugbemiga Adesina.

The public is urged to provide any information related to the incident to the nearest police station.
