Nigerian Lawmakers Seek Urgent Rescue of 28 Abducted Travelers in Plateau State

The House of Representatives in Nigeria has urged security agencies to promptly rescue 28 travelers, mostly children, abducted by bandits in Plateau State. The victims, including teachers and a tricycle rider, were kidnapped on December 21 while en route to a celebration.

The bandits have demanded a ransom of N42 million for their release. The Plateau State Police Command has initiated investigations into the incident, with efforts being made to locate and rescue the victims in the challenging terrain of Wase LGA.
