Insecurity Escalates as Bandits Abduct 28 Travelers in Plateau State

Insecurity heightened in Plateau State as bandits kidnapped 28 travelers, including religious leaders, during an attack in Wase Local Government Area. The victims were traveling from Zak village to Sabon Layi community for a religious event when gunmen ambushed them, abandoned the victims' vehicles, and fled with the travelers, leaving their whereabouts unknown.

Efforts by security agencies to locate the abductees have been unsuccessful. The incident has raised concerns about the escalating security challenges in the region.
