EFInA Promotes Women's Financial Inclusion in Nigeria

The Enhancing Financial Innovation & Access (EFInA) organization intensified its efforts to promote women's financial inclusion by convening an event in Abuja, coinciding with International Women's Month. The gathering, themed "Give Gain," aimed to create a platform for women’s associations to share experiences and highlight challenges in accessing formal financial services.

EFInA's Chief Executive Officer, Foyinsolami Akinjayeju, emphasized the necessity of stronger partnerships and deliberate actions to foster economic empowerment for women, particularly entrepreneurs. Dr.

Aisha Isa Olatinwo from the Central Bank of Nigeria noted that advancing women's financial inclusion requires enabling policies and financial products tailored to women's realities. The event included panel discussions featuring various stakeholders, including Dr.

Hadiza Maina and Hayiya Imaan Sulaiman Ibrahim, focusing on the persistent barriers women face and the importance of supporting women-led micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Nigeria's economic growth.
