IGP Disu Promises Justice in Efurun Shooting Case

During a press conference at the Nigeria Police Force headquarters on Tuesday, Inspector General of Police Olatunji Rilwan Disu assured that the case of the extra-judicial killing suspect in Efurun, Delta State, will not be overlooked. He stated that the police will pursue the matter to its logical conclusion and emphasized a commitment to accountability.

Disu noted that the suspect was found in possession of a local fabric Beretta pistol and four rounds of live 9mm ammunition. He highlighted the Nigeria Police Force's recent operations, which included the arrest of 28 terrorist suspects, 51 murder and culpable homicide suspects, 62 armed robbery suspects, 85 kidnapping suspects, and 54 cultist suspects.

Additionally, 189 kidnapping victims were rescued, and a total of 140 assorted firearms and 1,074 rounds of ammunition were recovered during these operations. Disu reaffirmed the police's dedication to a clear zero-tolerance policy regarding criminal activities.
