Adeyanju Critiques Egbetokun's Impact on Tinubu

Deji Adeyanju, an activist lawyer, addressed the press regarding the removal of former Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun, stating that Egbetokun has created many enemies for President Bola Tinubu. Adeyanju emphasized the importance for public office holders to remain circumspect in their dealings with Nigerian citizens, as state power is transient.

He warned that Egbetokun's actions could lead to repercussions, suggesting that karma would soon catch up with him and other officials like Abubakar Malami and Nasir El-Rufai. Adeyanju described Egbetokun as inheriting enemies due to his position and actions, and he noted that Egbetokun faced significant resistance from Nigerians, particularly activists, who accused him of illegitimately occupying his office.
