Leaders Urge Unity and Peace Among Muslims for Eid

During the Eid al-Adha celebrations in Minna, Niger State, leaders urged Muslims to promote love and unity. Former Head of State Abdulsalami made a call shortly after the Eid prayer at Unguwan Daji Eid ground, congratulating Nigerian Muslims on the occasion.

Niger State Governor Moham Umar Bago expressed gratitude to Allah for the Eid celebrations, describing the festival as a significant period for fostering unity and peace among Muslims worldwide. He encouraged continued prayers for a better future for the country and expressed hope that the prayers offered during the celebrations would bring peace and progress to Niger State and Nigeria as a whole.

The governor noted the current challenges facing Nigeria and stressed the need for peaceful conduct during the political season to ensure credible elections. Senator Peter Ndalikali Jiya also congratulated the Muslim community, urging them to emulate the good teachings of Prophet Ibrahim, which emphasize love, sacrifice, and support.

The prayers were led by Deputy Imam Sheikh Habib Mai Basira, with attendance from government officials, politicians, and traditional leaders.
