Senator Barau Disburses N157M for Eid-el-Fitr Gifts

Senator Barau Jibrin, the Deputy President of the Senate, announced the disbursement of N157 million to his constituents as Sallah gifts in celebration of Eid-el-Fitr. This initiative aims to support the less privileged during the festive period, with the distribution of 60,000 bags commencing on March 18, 2026, across 13 local government areas in the Kano North Senatorial District.

In his statement, Barau urged the Muslim community to sustain prayers for global peace and reflected on the completion of Ramadan, which was declared to end on March 20, 2026, marking the first day of Shawwal 1447AH. He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his efforts to stabilize Nigeria's economy and called for continued support to achieve national security and infrastructural development.

Barau emphasized the importance of spreading love and helping those in need during the festive period.
