Bauchi Governor Urges Unity and Compassion for Eid

During the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations, Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed called on residents to embrace unity and compassion. In a statement issued on Thursday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado, the governor extended warm greetings to the Muslim community in Bauchi State and across Nigeria.

He expressed profound gratitude to Allah for granting faith, strength, patience, and spiritual devotion necessary to fulfill the obligations of fasting. Mohammed described Eid-el-Fitr as a significant occasion for reflection and recommitment to core Islamic values, urging citizens to uphold virtues such as compassion, humility, generosity, and discipline throughout the year.

He encouraged continued support for less privileged and vulnerable members of society and highlighted the importance of emulating the exemplary character of Prophet Muhammad. The governor also commended religious leaders for their roles in promoting moral values and unity.

He reaffirmed the administration's commitment to peace and security while acknowledging ongoing economic challenges and assuring citizens of efforts to alleviate hardships.
