Muslims Urged to Uphold Anti-Corruption Values During Eid

During the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations, Ola Olukoyede, the Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), delivered a message urging Muslims across Nigeria to sustain values of discipline, self-denial, purity, and anti-corruption that were instilled during Ramadan. He highlighted the role of collective responsibility in fostering a better society and emphasized that adherence to these virtues contributes to building a corruption-free Nigeria.

The Eid-el-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan, a time for reflection on spiritual discipline and moral conduct. Additionally, the Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Usman Othman II, called on Nigerians to prioritize prayer and unity, stressing the need for collective action to tackle insecurity.

He acknowledged the government's efforts to combat insecurity and urged citizens to actively support initiatives aimed at restoring peace. The Deputy Chief Imam of the Emirate, Isiaq Ismail, congratulated Muslims on completing Ramadan and expressed concerns about lingering insecurity affecting the nation.
