Gov Yahaya Urges Love and Compassion During Eid-el-Fitr

During the Eid-el-Fitr celebration, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State called on Muslims in Nigeria to sustain the spirit of love, sacrifice, and compassion that characterizes Ramadan. Speaking at the Eid prayer attended by dignitaries including Alhaji Dr.

Abubakar Shehu Abubakar III and Deputy Dr. Manassah Daniel Jatau, he cautioned against abandoning the lessons learned during Ramadan.

Yahaya highlighted that Eid-el-Fitr should not only be a time of celebration but also a reminder to uphold values of generosity, especially towards the less privileged. He also expressed sympathy for the people of Borno State following a recent bombing incident, urging prayers for the affected communities.

The governor later hosted dignitaries, including World Bank Country Director for Nigeria, Mr. Matthew Verghi, and Tunisian Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr.

Moshen Antit, who praised his administration's commitment to development. The event concluded with a cultural display at the emir's palace, reinforcing the themes of peace and unity.
