Enugu LG Chairman Calls for Unity During Eid-el-Fitr

Barr. Ugo Ferdinand Ukwuez, the Chairman of Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area in Enugu State, issued a call for unity and peaceful coexistence among people of different religious backgrounds in his Eid-el-Fitr message.

This message was delivered to mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan. Ukwuez urged Muslims, particularly in Enugu State, to reflect on the values of their faith, including sacrifice and compassion, cultivated during Ramadan.

He encouraged them to recommit to ideals of charity and community harmony, which he believes are essential for success. The council chairman reaffirmed his administration's commitment to fostering peace and coexistence among diverse religious groups.

He stressed that the strength of society lies in its diversity and encouraged the celebration of noble virtues exemplified during Ramadan. Ukwuez also aligned his leadership with the development agenda of Governor Peter Mbah, prioritizing inclusivity and shared progress in Enugu State.
