Fubara and Yahaya Celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, Promote Peace

On Friday, April 21, 2023, River State Governor Siminalayi Fubara celebrated Eid-el-Fitr with the Muslim community, reaffirming his administration's commitment to safeguarding the lives and properties of all citizens, including Muslims. He made this pledge during a meeting at the Government House in Port Harcourt with a delegation led by Alhaji Nasir Uhor, Vice President General of the River State Council of Islamic Affairs.

Fubara emphasized that every resident, regardless of origin or religious affiliation, is considered a River indigene and promised to protect their properties. He commended the Muslim community for their dedication during Ramadan and addressed security concerns, particularly the farmer-herder tensions in the country.

Meanwhile, Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Yahaya joined Emir Alhaji Abubakar Shehu Abubakar III for Eid prayers, highlighting the spirit of sacrifice and generosity during Ramadan. Yahaya also expressed sympathy for the people of Borno State affected by recent bomb explosions and emphasized the need for unity and moral discipline in society.
