Kano Governor Abba Yusuf Donates Food for Eid-el-Fitr

On the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf donated various food items to inmates across 13 custodial centers in the state. The donation included 14 cows, 82 bags of 50kg rice, 38 jerrycans of 25kg cooking oil, and assorted soup ingredients.

This initiative, aimed at enhancing the welfare of inmates during the festive period, was conveyed through a statement from the Public Relations Office of the Kano State Command of the Nigerian Correctional Service, represented by Musbahu Nassarawa. Hajiya Azumi Namadi Bebeji, chairperson of the committee, delivered a goodwill message from Governor Yusuf, urging inmates to utilize the Eid period for peace and unity.

The gesture underscores the administration's commitment to supporting vulnerable groups, including inmates. Ahm Yusuf Lakpen, representing the Kano State Command, expressed gratitude for the governor's thoughtful gesture, while Sylvest Ndidi Nwakuch commended the ongoing partnership between the state government and the Nigerian Correctional Service.
