NRC to Operate Extra Lagos-Ibadan Train Trips for Eid

The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has announced that it will operate three additional train trips on the Lagos-Ibadan train service corridor on Monday, in response to the high passenger turnout expected during the Eid-el-Fitr travel period. Callistus Unyimadu, the NRC Chief Public Relations Officer, stated that the extra trips aim to ease passenger movement and provide travel options for commuters returning from Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.

The scheduled departures from Lagos Mobolaji Johnson Station in Ebutte Metta will be at 7:45 AM, 1:40 PM, and 4:00 PM, while trains departing from Ibadan Obafemi Awolowo Station in Moniya will leave at 8:00 AM, 10:50 AM, and 4:30 PM. Unyimadu assured passengers of NRC's continued commitment to safe, reliable, and efficient rail service, advising them to arrive early and comply with ticket security procedures.
